The Whisper Of Spring

        Springtime Art

        A lilt is in the air and I
        must sing the songs that tell
        the world I know that April's here
        to stay for just a spell;

        A mellow time when green takes hold
        and flowers touch the dew,
        when showers come on Aprils terms
        and rainbows fill my view;

        But then along comes merry May;
        her presence paints the land
        in colors rife with prism's glint,
        each shown at her command;

        And now I know why April comes
        and brings her showers, to
        renew the hope for springtime art
        against May's skies of blue.

        Each month a part and parcel of
        this spring that comes my way;
        a lilt is in the air and i
        shall savor each new day.

        The Whisper Of Spring

        God's powerful hand is seen each Spring
        in the blossoms bursting from the trees.
        He brings forth a song from an egg shell
        and He whispers in the warm Spring breeze.

        The hillside changes to shades of green;
        flowers awake, then yawn and nod.
        They are mute, they cannot voice His name;
        yet in their silence, they speak of God.

        Fragrant blooms burst forth with elegance;
        and man sweetly whispers, "How divine,"
        but the power of God is so much greater
        than the total measure of men's minds.
