I'm thankful for...
My family and friends
As another year ends.

God above
Surrounding me with love.

The sky and mother earth,
Every flower, every tree.
Every sunrise and sunset He gives to me.

For this country that's free
And the people that protect it for me.

For letting me age gracefully
And getting past all the fears
Finally... after all these years.

I give thanks and I pray
For our troops every day

As they fight for other's freedom,
Facing the unknown
So far from family and home.

I'm thankful to God for every day
And each friend He sent my way.

I pray for those that serve our country
No matter the cost.
And all the homeless, lonely and lost.

These are but a few things I'm thankful for
This Thanksgiving ... 2004
