I'm a clown... I'm a clown

I will never wear a frown.

My tears I hide

Down deep inside

'Cause I'm a clown...

I'm as happy as a lark

My hurts are hidden in the dark.

I refuse to show my troubles

So I'll just keep blowing bubbles

'Cause I'm a clown...

I laugh and shout and jump around

My feet are never on the ground.

The only time I don't put on a show

Is when my head falls on my pillow

'Cause I'm a clown...

I'm way too silly and far too loud

I love to perform in front of a crowd.

My friends think I'm the funniest sight.

They'll never know how I cry thru the night

'Cause I'm a clown...

I love to make everyone happy

By acting the fool and being sappy.

So I'll keep blowing these bubbles of mine

Until the day my heart lets me...

Get you off my mind

'Cause... I'm a clown!
