How lovely is an Autumn day

To watch the leaves as they play.

Nothing matches their colors so bold

Falling in reds, orange, yellow and gold.

Like the trees shedding their leaves

My troubles fly away in the breeze.

A rainbow of colors sparkling in the sunlight

And I feel my spirit taking flight.

One by one they drift on by

As the wind sends them off toward the sky.

They twist and turn and then they're gone

Somewhere in the great beyond.

One of God's miracles is the changing of the seasons

And Fall just reaches deep into my soul for some reason.

I just love the colors and the crisp air too

But darlin'... maybe it's because

It was Autumn when I fell in love with you.
