Thanksgiving...

What does it mean to me this year?

It means being extra thankful

For those I love... gone and still here.



Thankful for having the freedom

Of choosing where and how to live.

Thankful for the many people in my life

And the love and caring that they give.



I give thanks for the men and women serving

So that we may stay home safe and sound.

And all the strangers guarding our country

To keep terrorists away from our ground.



I've been blessed with a loving family

And a home filled with laughter and love

And though demons tried to destroy our country

They united this nation as one under God above.



So this year as we celebrate Thanksgiving

And we pause to remember and pray

I'll thank God for family and friends

And for the heroes in this great U S A


I thank God for every day
