The Garden Path



I wait for you along the garden path.

The grass glowing from the sweet dew.

The velvet flowers kissed with love,

Their fragrance mingling with my thoughts of you.





I gather up the wildflowers

Their petals so gentle and so light.

I hold them close against me,

Their scent filling up the night.





I walk alone in silent wonder

With dreams that I can't find.

I know you're out there somewhere,

You can't be only in my mind.





Everywhere I look and everything I touch

Reminds me that somehow you are my destiny.

My heart has been held captive,

I need your love to set it free.





Please, don't make me wait forever,

I have so much love to share.

My darling...

Look for the garden path and find me
