Silence eating away my soul My heart you held, it fit like a glove But now, you threw it all away... It was never the thing we call "Love"  Silence... It wanders alone, out in the cold Ever restless, ever empty Amongst the scattered leaves that fly in the gray sky... Do you sit back and enjoy watching me cry? Silence... It cuts deeper than words Your voice, I wish I had never heard Can my spirit just fly... free as a bird? Silence... Hopes and dreams spinning out of control caught up in your web of words Leave me, let me go The pain you have caused you will never know Silence... It tore my body and made me weak Killing the passion that grew within me I now have nothing left to seek Silence... Your silence has destroyed any faith I once had Decayed and ruined my eyes so sad Tears of betrayal falling from my lash Silence... Has turned me cold Frozen in a trance You pierced my heart with a lance Silence... Seeping from my soul Robbing me of life Filling my life with nothing but strife Silence... Your silence Now drips from my veins Silence... A hush... I no longer Remember your name... The Author is Unknown to me But...I thank you with all my heart
