Once upon a time I saw High above this earthly ground The biggest brightest rainbow With angels dancing all around. Never before did I ever see Such colors bright and bold. As the angels danced around It was quite a sight to behold. Now we've all seen a rainbow As it appears up in the sky It follows every rainstorm And shines on you and I. Everybody needs a rainbow No matter what the season It gives us something to believe in And gives our life a reason. Like a rainbow he appeared At the end of a dark and stormy day. He brought his shades of colors And chased away the gray. He always left me with a smile A better friend he couldn't be. He filled my life with sunshine And his words helped set me free. I don't know where he came from He must have been an angel in disguise. That's the reason all the angels danced Beneath that rainbow in the sky. Now my angel's work is done Back to heaven he did go.
